Full description
The Sea Fury was a further development of the Typhoon and Tempest Fights also developed by Hawker during the war. The Sea Fury was completed just before the end of the war and first flew in September 1944. The Naval prototype was test flown in July of 1945 and went into production soon after. It was powered by the Napier Sabre VII engine capable of developing 3-4000 horse power. The result was the fastest production piston engine fighter in history. The top speed of this fighter was in the 480 – 490 miles per hour range.

The Sea Fury F50 export version was sold to Australia, Germany, Iraq, Egypt, Burma, Pakistan and Cuba. The Netherlands also bought 10 of these aircraft. The Sea Fury went on to service in Korea flying against Mig 17 and Yak 9 aircraft. It held up well and scored kills even against the Mig 17. Over 850 of these superb aircraft were built.

Many were resurrected from grave yards and bought 2nd hand from countries converting to jets. These were converted to sport and racing use. Many were used in ultimate class racing and some were used as flkying museum pieces. A few were used at air shows for aerobatics and the great roar of the engine.

These models were built near to scale. They include a lot of exterior detail and a detailed cockpit. The exterior is fully textured and comes with all materials and textures as shown. The landing gear are animated to retract with the doors. The wheels and tires, propeller, ailerons, split flaps, elevators, rudder and folding wings are animateable. The canopy can be opened as shown in the renderings here. This model looks great in flying animations. This model also comes in more than 10 formats for your immediate downloading. It is also available in many of the liveries it flew during its historic and long career.
