Quantum Highlands
-

Quantum Theory presents, Quantum Highlands, the second of 4 AAA-quality background packages for general use.

Package Contains:

* 10 low polygon 2000 triangles meshes approximately 100mx100m in size. Duplicate, rotate, and compose these in your scene to your liking.

* 10 custom made, hi fidelity 2048x2048 diffuse and normal maps; a set for each mesh.

* 10 16bit greyscale displacement maps used to construct the mountain geometry. Need more geometry in the mountains? Less? Recreate them quickly with these displacement maps.

* Custom made, extremely high resolution 360 degree arctic skybox. Each side of the skybox is 2048x2048.

Usage

There are 10 meshes found in the Quantum Theory/Quantum Highlands/Meshes folder labeled A through F. Simply drag the meshes you want into your scene. Since mountains are big, beware that the meshes are 100 meters by 100 meters in size. Scale them to fit your scene. Compose them, move them, and rotate them to immerse your audience and help create a truly hi quality experience.

Since the meshes are 2000 triangles each, you may desire more or less triangles in the meshes. With the provided 16bit displacement maps, you can reconstruct the geometry of each mesh. You can find the maps in the Quantum Theory/Quantum Highlands/Meshes/Materials folder. Simply open your favorite 3d authoring tool, create a flat plane, give the plane a sensible amount of segments, then displace the geometry of the plane using the corresponding displacement map.

You can find the skybox textures in Quantum Theory/Quantum Highlands/Meshes/Materials.
