The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a twin-engine carrier-based multirole fighter aircraft derived from the F/A-18C. The Super Hornet entered service with the United States Navy in 1999, replacing the F-14 Tomcat since 2006, and serves alongside the original Hornet. The first VFA-103 deployment with the F/A-18F commenced in 2006 and ended in the spring of 2007. During the cruise with USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, VFA-103 supported Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and operations off the Somali coast The model is complete with the typical asymmetrical loadout for strike missions, adopted during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom: GBU-12, GBU-38, ATFLIR pod and AIM-9, AIM-120 for self defense. Modelled in 1:1 real world scale, all parts are conveniently named and separated, textures and specular maps are 2048x2048 pixels and it has the following key-frame animations already in place: Landing gear Refueling probe Folding wings Access ladder Canopy Original format is 3ds max 8, obj generated by Deep Exploration.
