Situated in Mt. Guashan north of Jiaochen County, The HeMing Monasteru is a major site of historic value under Shanxi probvincial protection.
Founded in the Tang Dyansty, rebuilt and renovated in subsequent dynasties, the monastery has its buildings inherited from the Ming and the Qing Dynasties. Built along the hill sides and with the buildings scattered tastefully and separated distinctively, the monastery has now as its main buildings a gateway with its lobby, the Pavilion to Multi-Buddhas, the Grand Hall to Mahavira, the Hall to Vairocana.
