Full description
Beginning in the 1960s, cargo containers were developed for the aircraft that had been specifically designed as cargo or quick change cargo planes. The igloo as it was affectionately called was used in the 1970s and 1980s for Boeing 727, 727-100, 727-200, 727-QC,737-100 QC, 707, and 757 aircraft. This made freight much more efficiently handled and more economical. These containers were made of fiberglass or aluminum on a large aluminum pad.The container was forwarded and retrieved from aircraft with specially build dollies.

Many airlines and air cargo carriers used this system and thousands of containers were built. Many are still in use today.

This model was built near to scale in inch units. It is fairly detailed and comes fully textured with all materials and textures. It is available in several formats here
