Full description
The Stol conversions included the modification of ailerons to work like flaps and still have aileron control.This feature control surface was called a flaperon.Flaps were also given the capability to extend to 50% instead of the normal 40%.A leading edge wing cuff thickened the leading edge and made the wing more efficient at high angles of attack.Lastly, there were wing fences added to the upper surface of the wings at the joint between the inner and outer sections of the wing.This kept airflow over the wing straight and more efficient.The end results were slower stall speeds with better control, short takeoffs of less than 500 feet and landings as short as 500 feet. Some conversions also included a 160 hp engine and this gave the aircraft additional thrust for the short takeoff.Otherwise the STOL conversion was a stock Cessna 172 with seating for four.It could still cruise at very near the same speed and rabge as the standard Cessna 172.

This model was built very near to scale, is fully textured, and includes a lot of detail.The textures include rivet patterns.The control surfaces are animatable and the propeller is animated.This model is provided in 3ds, max, dwg, and dxf formats with all textures and materials as shown.
