Uploading files
Start by clicking the Sell link, from there click the Upload Files sub-link. You should now be able to upload your files. These files would include the main product (for example, a max model in a ZIP for example) and a preview image (or multiple preview images) or just your JPG files if you are adding Stock Photos / Images.
When uploading model files we suggest naming your file using this format: name_ext.zip where _ext is the file extension of the model inside. For example, if you have a model in .max format called Kitchen Sink then name the file kitchen_sink_max.zip when you upload it. This will make product creation faster and easier as our product creation page will automatically know what type of file you upload and auto select it, saving you an extra step.
When uploading images, The3dStudio.com will auto shrink them to 400x400 and to 64x64 so they can be used as preview images and thumbnails.
If you are uploading Stock Photos / Images, just upload the large size of your JPG image and we will automatically scale it to 1600 pixels and 800 pixels. You will then be able to choose prices for all sizes when creating your products.
Once the files are uploaded, click the Create Products link. You will see a list of all the files you uploaded. Select the file that is the main file for the product you wish to create and click the Add Description button.
Files you upload will remain in your upload folder for no more than 30 days. Be sure to turn them into products before that time or they will be removed.
