Model / Property Release Information

If you are selling Stock Photos that contain a recognizable face of one or more people then you need a model release to sell that photo on The3dStudio.com. During the creation of your stock photo "product" on The3dStudio.com you will have an option to upload a signed model release (in PDF, ZIP, or RAR form).

If you do not include a model release and your photo contains recognizable faces then we will mark that product as "No model release available" which will reduce any potential sales you get as it can then only be used for editorial use.

If your photo does not contain a recognizable face (no people, or a person shot from behind, etc) then you do NOT need a model release.

If your photo contains multiple recognizable faces you would need one model release for each recognizable face in the image. If you have a shot of yourself or a family member you still need a model release.

Many buildings have similar issues and thus require a property release. Without a property release, many buildings will remain as Editorial Only.

If you have a signed model release it does not have to be in English, but if you are submitting to our site as a model release you must include an English translation of the text used in it.
