NASA to use 3D printers for spare part manufacturing

This is very interesting that NASA is looking at sending a 3D printer to the space station for building spare parts, equipments and tools. It makes sense for it is a lot cheaper to email a CAD file then it is to send parts on a rocket to the station.

Pretty cool stuff, it's such a cool technology with virtually no limits. I was just reading this article...

...on printing blood vessels with a 3d printer, amazing. There's more articles about printing replacement human parts as well (like a liver)...just blows my mind!

I saw the same report later today. What is just as amazing is that they are not only looking at 3D printers for plastics and polymers but they are looking at using them in the foods market. One day you could turn all your models into chocolate treats!
