My first sale!

I just wanted to pop in here and get a blog up and running. Up until now I wasn't sure I had much to share as I'm just getting started in the world of stock and still have a lot to learn. But as of a few minutes ago, I have my first official sale and it's pretty exciting! Fall is obviously in full swing as someone just purchased a photo of my straw pumpkins!

I know this sale has given me incentive to shoot and upload more stock photos. I hope it does the same for some of you!

Of all your photos, that is my favorite one. The DoF in it is awesome!

I had a first this month too - While stock image sales are not new to me, I actually sold a PHOTO! It has always been my 3d renders that sell. Here is the image that sold: http://www.the3dstudio.com/product_details.aspx?id_product=84983

Congrats to everyone! We love that you are having sales, especially of stock photos since we just added that catogory this summer. It's exciting to see all the new products being added and our photo library growing.

We'd love to know where your stuff is being used, so let us know if you know. Even if it's something of yours that didn't sell here, we are still happy for you. For instance, both Tracy and I spotted one of Feverpitch's photos in a recent issue of Woman's Day magazine--we were thrilled. I still have no idea whether the photo sold here or elsewhere but we are very happy for Andy.
