Faithful and accurate Reconstruction of an Ancient Egyptian Old Kingdom Foot Soldier [hand-to-hand fighter] Props Set to create an Old Kingdom Officer and an Old Kingdom Foot Soldier, according to the Ancient Egypt wall paintings and the archaeology remains and evidence.
Egyptian Foot Soldiers were called the nakhtu-aa, i.e. the strong-of-arm men.
The Club and the Mace were both common weapons in Old Kingdom, mainly used by officers and had stone or, in later periods, copper heads. The Mace remained mainly as a status symbol weapon. Pharaohs are often depicted with a mace, smiting their enemies.
The throwstick was a common war weapon in Old Kingdom. Soldiers used it also to hunt birds and little animals.
Old Kingdom Soldiers and Officers used the Egyptian 'belt and wrap' linen kilt, used also by common people.
