My newest stock image - ugly sucker, yeah? I thought he owed me a pose, seeing as how I rescued this cicada from being eaten by the neighbour´s cat.

 

As a follow up to my cherry blossom image, I wanted to do a super close-up macro shot of the middle of a cherry blossom. I used a Phoenix 100mm f3.5 macro lens (the Plastic Fantastic) with extension tubes - here is what I got:

 

 

 

I have seen this character quite a bit over at DeviantArt, so I decided to make one without the un-stockable Amazon branding. Here are a few shots of his adventures:

 

So happy the cherry blossoms are finally blooming in my neighborhood. Here is a shot I just took of some white blossoms - I will go out now and look for some pink ones.
