OK - I promised a v2.0 of my last render: http://www.the3dstudio.com/product_details.aspx?id_product=218563&product=stock-photo-image-Oooh!-Sparkly..., so here it is - you can decide which one you like ;-) This version was rendered with the free and open source unbiased render engine, Luxrender.

 

I really hope this one sells at least a couple times - It was an astronomically long render! Render took over 30 hours on a system running two Xeon quad cores. The light calculations that must have been going on, make my brain hurt just thinking about it.... Rendered at a monstrous 3888 x 2592.
