First ever Self-Portrait

Just wanted to share my first ever self portrait. As with most online blogs and forums, you often become familiar with people, but have no clue what they look like - well, here I am! Just thought I would try pimping myself here - LOL!

Color toning and Canon logo removal from the camera and lens was done in Gimp.

Got a new toy....

Got a light tent thingy off of eBay for real cheap - like this one. Hopefully, I will make a return on the investment in only a month. Shot a few pics using it, and here is my favorite:

Kit Includes:

1 x 20x20x20 Tent light mini-studio box.

2 x 3200k Tungsten lights with stand

1x Light weight camera support.

4x backgrounds.

1x carrying case

Main Features:

  • Same light diffuser panel used for Pro-grade studio soft box
  • Compact and adequate working space, 20x20x20” area.
  • Four different color backgrounds - White, Black, Blue, Red, 20”x40”
  • 3200K standard tungsten light on table stand with hide-away legs for easy storage.
  • Camera support with adjustable heights from 10” to 20",  full swing and tilt base, with 180 degree mini-ball head
  • Everything fits in the bag for carrying and storage.
These are really great - even an unskilled photographer like me can get really nice stock quality lighting. Here is another example:
